25. Capezio Ballet Shoes

26. Peplum Dress

27. Maxi Skirt

My three year old just started taking “Creative Movement” at the Greater York Dance Center. All the dancers are required to wear a black leotard, light pink tights, and ballet shoes. It’s clear that my child has inherited my love of dressing the part! Gearing up is just as much fun as the class itself!  Although the ballet slippers don’t offer much in the way of support, they are strong on authentic style. For $20 a pair, I’ll take them in black and ballet slipper pink! Available at shoebuy.com and at the Arabesque Dance & Fitness Wear shop, 25 West King Street, Lancaster PA.

Raf Simons’ Spring/Summer 2011 collection for Jil Sander is anything but sooo last season! The impact of these gowns (pink and white gown, left) are still reverberating through the Spring 2012 collections.  J.Crew (green skirt below) and Mother of Pearl (yellow skirt below) make the look accessible with maxi skirts and t-shirts.

Peplum details are a key trend for Spring 2012. Once again, Raf Simons for Jil Sander can be credited with igniting the trend with his Spring Summer 2011 collection of gowns. Click the dresses above for details.

28. Mickey Mouse Watch

The Mickey Mouse watch has been in production since 1933! I think that officially qualifies it as a style classic. We recently enjoyed a trip to Disney World where I made Mickey a member of my club!

29. Roksanda Illincic Dress and Skirt

30. CELINE trapeze bag

Some people look for a bag that can “go with everything.” I believe that search is futile (and a little boring!). Different seasons and occasions call for a different bag. I used to work with a woman who had a large bag arsenal. I asked her how she kept them all looking so nice and new. Her answer was having several and rotating them often to ensure none of

them were worn out before their time.  In an effort to protect my current collection of bags, I am hoping to add the Celine Trapeze bag to the family!!! She is the perfect blend of minimalism and funkiness. She is forward but classic. Bold yet understated. Ladylike but edgy...

31. Cana Flecha Woven Bracelets

Fun and fair trade, these handmade Columbian bracelets are feel good fashion!! I get mine from the Sunrise Soap Company on Beaver Street in York, PA but for those of you outside the Susquehanna Valley they are now available on Madewell’s website.

32. Overalls

I haven’t worn overalls since high school and they say that if you were around for the first wave of a trend then you shouldn’t revisit it. However, I find those fashion “rules” really boring and thus I’ll be ignoring that one! What feels fresh about this look is the slightly nipped in waist and the cropped length paired with a fun pump!!
